Health Occupation Students of America
Advisor: Nina Hendricks
Open to anyone in grades 9-12, who is interested in a health-related field of study, vocational or post-secondary. Provides knowledge and skills for the workplace, as well as networking and soft-skills training students will use regardless of the career path they choose. Two conferences are attended, with optional state and international competitions if one qualifies. Students pay dues of $35 (local, state and national dues) and any travel expenses if one qualifies for state/national competitions. Mrs. Hendricks helps with as much of the expense as possible. Go to www.hosa.org and click the competition tab and then guidelines for more info about what competitive event options are available. The links explain each event and the student responsibilities.
